This image is part of a series I did on the four seasons. Here the King of Winter is coming to bring death to the lands below his frozen mountain realm. I wanted the image to be full of death symbols; frost, the ravens, the screaming woeful tree, the wolf. The king himself noble and uncaring. His features are human, but a little off. His nose a little too long, his ears a litte too sharp.
The overall effect I wanted was one of chilly majesty. The kind of beauty you can look at and appreciate, but which is by its very nature hostile.
Thanks man, good luck with the wagon, and if you fall off, aim for someone.

You always do such a good job! I really really REALLY like this piece well both of us do ^^) I was looking forward to this I soon as i read your journal entry! Great efforts yet again! Not only have you drawn your characters to perfection-but the background is beautiful! Your attention to detail on the icicles is awesome and I really like the little skeletons on the trees! Beautiful I hope you get a Daily Deviation for this!

Cold and beautiful - and a little scary. The whole image is wonderful, but I especially like the detail of the snow and ice on the wolf's head - the briefly settling snow on his fur and those little icicles. brr.

Amazing! I really like the icicles around the wolf's face, they give it a very stern, intense look. I also like the icicles on the trees, but I really love the way you captured the wind as it whisks away the fresh powder.
By the way, have you done anything with the minotaur I requested? If not, its no big deal, I understand that you're busy. I just wanted to see what was up since we kind of broke communication.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
